Pohang City’s ‘Pohang Auto Camping Festival’ Held Successfully at Homigot Sunrise Plaza

July 1-3, Over 5,000 Tourists Experience 'Homigot Healing Camping'

The Pohang Auto Camping Festival held at Homigot Sunrise Square successfully concluded.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang Homigot Sunrise Plaza buzzed with over 5,000 tourists attending the long-awaited festival, the ‘Pohang Auto Camping Festival.’

On the evenings of the 1st and 2nd, the ‘Homigot Music Festival’ offered new emotions with sentimental ballads set against the backdrop of the Homigot night sea. Through the ‘Auto Camping Fair,’ 16 camper vans, the dream of campers, filled Homigot Plaza in a showcase, creating a romantic Homigot atmosphere.

Seven different art experience booths, including candle burner making for emotional camping with local young artists, and ten flea market booths featuring camping meal kits and pet travel supplies attracted campers and travelers alike.

During the event, popular sea fishing YouTubers and camping YouTubers conducted live broadcasts on-site, sharing plenty of tips for enjoying Pohang as a summer vacation destination starting this month, actively promoting ‘Healing Sea City Pohang’ both online and offline.

Park Sang-jin, Director of the Tourism Industry Division, said, “In the second half of the year, new festivals such as the ‘Pohang International Fireworks Festival,’ Pohang’s representative festival, and the ‘Cheolgilsup Night Walk,’ which reflects new travel trends, will be held consecutively.” He added, “We will do our best to revive local tourism through these festivals.”
