[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The inauguration ceremony of Park Dong-sik, the mayor of Sacheon City in the 8th term of direct election, was held at 10 a.m. on the 1st at the large auditorium on the 2nd floor of Sacheon City Hall.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by about 400 people, including members of the National Assembly, provincial and city council members, heads of local institutions and organizations, social organization leaders, and citizens.
Mayor Park Dong-sik said, "Although I was elected with the full support of the citizens, I feel a heavy responsibility weighing on my heart more than joy. I understand it as an order to revive the stagnant Sacheon economy and will devote myself wholeheartedly," expressing his inauguration remarks.
Mayor Park emphasized, "Today, as we start the new 8th term of direct election, we have set the administrative slogan as a new beginning, Happy City Sacheon," and added, "I will do my best to create a prosperous and happy Sacheon City by trusting only the citizens."
He also said, "Today, I make seven promises to the citizens," and explained, "Listening well to the citizens, happy lifestyle politics, practical administration, groundbreaking growth of strategic and future innovation industries, a city where citizens are happy, a sales-oriented mayor, and creating a working organization are exactly those promises."
Mayor Park promised, "A new beginning, Happy City Sacheon is a hope I want to achieve together with the citizens and a mission entrusted to me by the citizens," and added, "I will work hard to make Sacheon citizens proud."
