As of 10:25 AM on the 1st, Pine Digital is trading at 5,170 KRW, up 295 KRW (6.05%) from the previous trading day.
According to industry sources on the 30th, Apple has secured a patent related to technology that controls vehicles using electrical signals. According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website, Apple has registered a patent related to 'steer-by-wire.' This has led to analyses suggesting that the outline of the 'Apple Car' is becoming clearer.
Meanwhile, Pine Digital is a leading domestic navigation and black box company. Since 2013, Pine Digital has been supplying electronic maps of the Korean region to Apple through the global map company TomTom. It has also supplied electronic maps to major domestic companies such as Samsung.
Pine Digital is developing autonomous driving-related technologies together with its subsidiary Mappers, which holds an electronic map database (DB).
