GH to Build 'Integrated Public Rental Housing' on Former Anseong Hospital Site

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is building an 'Integrated Public Rental Housing' on the site of the former Anseong Hospital.

Integrated Public Rental Housing is a model that consolidates various existing types of public rental housing such as permanent, national, and happy housing into one, simplifying complex income and asset criteria to enhance accessibility for applicants. It allows diverse groups from low-income to middle-class to live together, with a maximum residency period of up to 30 years.

GH announced on the 1st that it began construction on the first Integrated Public Rental Housing, the Anseong Government Complex Integrated Public Rental Housing, on the 29th of last month.

The Anseong Government Complex Integrated Public Rental Housing is a complex development project that includes 320 units of integrated public rental housing and the Anseong 3-dong Administrative Welfare Center on the site of the former Anseong Hospital owned by Gyeonggi Province.

This project was planned following a business agreement signed in November 2018 between GH, Gyeonggi Province, and Anseong City to utilize the former Anseong Hospital site.

Gyeonggi Province provides the site, Anseong City finances the construction of the Administrative Welfare Center and supports administrative procedures, and GH is responsible for the construction, management, and operation of the public office building and integrated public rental housing.

In particular, this project is regarded as an excellent collaboration case for efficiently developing underutilized public land within urban areas.

The Anseong Government Complex Integrated Public Rental Housing will begin recruiting residents in the first half of 2023 and is scheduled for completion in June 2024.

Jeon Hyung-su, Acting President (Vice President) of GH, emphasized, "We will do our best to successfully promote the Anseong Government Complex Integrated Public Rental Housing project to maximize the potential of public land within the city and improve public convenience and quality of life for the residents of Gyeonggi Province."
