[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] The Jeonnam Jangseong Police Station (Chief Bae Seung-gwan) announced on the 1st that it held the '2022 First Half Security Advisory Council Regular Meeting' in the 3rd-floor conference room on the 30th of last month.
The meeting was attended by about 50 people, including Kim Yong-tae, chairman of the Security Advisory Council, members, police station chiefs, and heads of police boxes. The agenda included the appointment of new members and awarding of appreciation plaques, viewing of security promotion videos, introduction of key police station projects, and listening to suggestions.
During the meeting, a security briefing session was held to discuss specific measures for realizing community security, including the expansion of CCTV installation as part of the Jangseong Police Station's priority project 'Making Jangseong Safe,' traffic fatality prevention activities, and crime prevention activities targeting North Korean defectors and foreigners.
Chief Bae Seung-gwan said, "I would like to thank the many members of the Security Advisory Council who spare no effort in supporting the socially marginalized groups in the community, such as North Korean defectors and multicultural families, both materially and spiritually."
He added, "I ask for your active cooperation in raising security awareness along with 'Making Jangseong Safe' with the military and citizens, centered on the Security Advisory Council."
