Gyeonggi Province announced that due to the recent spread of damage caused by heavy rain in the province, Governor Kim decided to cancel both the 'Handshake Reporting Ceremony' and the 'Handshake Communication Meeting' that were prepared as part of the inauguration ceremony on the 1st.
Instead, Governor Kim will start his first schedule by visiting the Gyeonggi Province Disaster and Safety Situation Room for an on-site inspection. He is also considering visiting the damaged areas within the province.
Earlier on the same day, before his first arrival at the provincial office, Governor Kim plans to pay respects at the Suwon Memorial Tower.
Meanwhile, since the town hall meetings and communication meetings were prepared as events for residents to attend, Governor Kim plans to reschedule and hold them again in the future.
