[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, conducted an on-site response simulation training on the 30th to reduce summer food poisoning damage.
The city stated that the training was conducted to establish a rapid and accurate reporting system in the early stages of food poisoning outbreaks during the summer season when temperatures rise.
The training was carried out as if it were real, assuming a situation where 10 patients with suspected food poisoning symptoms occurred after eating at a regular restaurant.
Participants included the Gimhae City Hygiene Division, Gimhae City Public Health Center Epidemiological Investigation Team, and Gyeongsangnam-do officials, focusing on each agency's on-site duties and response procedures.
The main training contents were ▲ occurrence and reporting of suspected food poisoning patients ▲ reporting and dissemination of food poisoning outbreak situations ▲ on-site dispatch of related agencies and operation of the food poisoning response council ▲ conducting food poisoning cause and epidemiological investigations ▲ post-food poisoning measures, etc.
A city official said, “This was an opportunity to enhance on-site food poisoning response capabilities,” adding, “We will continue to thoroughly manage food safety to create a safe dining environment where citizens can feel secure.”
