On the 28th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul sent Kim to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving and failure to take action after an accident) the previous day.
Earlier, on the morning of the 18th of last month, Kim caused an accident by hitting a structure while driving in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu.
The police who responded to the report confirmed that Kim's blood alcohol concentration was measured at a high level, but Kim requested a blood test, which was conducted at a nearby hospital.
Subsequently, the National Forensic Service's test results showed Kim's blood alcohol concentration was about 0.2%, far exceeding the license cancellation level of 0.08%.
Meanwhile, A, a person in their 20s who was riding with Kim at the time of the accident, was also handed over to the prosecution on charges of aiding and abetting drunk driving.
