[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The inauguration of Park Wansu, the 38th Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, is just one day away.
Gyeongsangnam-do will hold the governor's inauguration ceremony at 10 a.m. on July 1st in the main auditorium of the new building of the Gyeongnam Provincial Office.
Starting at 9:40 a.m. with a performance by the Changwon City Boys and Girls Choir, the ceremony from 10 a.m. will include ▲the national ceremony ▲screening of a video showing the hopes of residents for the new Gyeongsangnam-do administration ▲the oath of office ▲inaugural address ▲reading of the president's congratulatory message ▲and the proclamation of the vision for the 8th elected Gyeongsangnam-do administration by 10 resident representatives.
According to the province, the residents' hope video, produced under the theme "Gyeongsangnam-do Where Our Hopes Come True," contains the wishes conveyed to the new Gyeongsangnam-do administration by medical professionals, cultural artists, entrepreneurs, small business owners, farmers and fishermen, multicultural families, and young start-up founders.
The vision containing the direction of the 8th elected Gyeongsangnam-do administration will be proclaimed by 10 resident representatives from various fields together with Governor Park Wansu.
The province stated that this inauguration ceremony focuses on "Gyeongsangnam-do's 8th elected administration starting together with residents," moving away from the previous invitation style centered on heads of institutions and organizations, and has prepared separate seating for residents, with about 700 people expected to attend.
It was also added that for residents who cannot attend the ceremony, the entire event will be broadcast live through Gyeongsangnam-do's official YouTube channel, "Gaengnam Official."
On the day, before the inauguration ceremony, Governor Park Wansu will pay respects at the National 3·15 Democratic Cemetery and the Chung Hon Tower, sign the handover document, and then attend the inauguration ceremony.
A Gyeongsangnam-do official said, "The inauguration ceremony of the 38th governor is being prepared under the theme of a vibrant Gyeongsangnam-do and happy residents, aiming to present a new leap and vision," adding, "We will announce both domestically and internationally that a new beginning of the provincial administration and a proper Gyeongsangnam-do of great unity with residents has begun."
