[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that due to heavy rainfall concentrated in Seoul and the upper Han River area, which increased the discharge from Paldang Dam, vehicle traffic on Jamsu Bridge has been completely restricted since 9:04 AM on the 30th.

The Seoul Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters stated, "The discharge from Paldang Dam has increased to over 6,800 tons per second, resulting in a full restriction of vehicle traffic on Jamsu Bridge."

Vehicle traffic on Jamsu Bridge is restricted when the water level exceeds 6.2 meters. Water begins to cover the road from 6.5 meters, and as of 9 AM on this day, the water level under the bridge in the Han River was recorded at 6.22 meters.

Currently, more than 6,800 tons of water per second continue to be discharged from Paldang Dam, and with ongoing heavy rainfall in the central region, vehicle restrictions are expected to continue.
