[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is offering up to a 50,000 KRW discount on accommodation and leisure experience products ahead of the 'Gyeonggi Sea Travel Week.'

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the 30th that from the 9th to the 17th of next month, in celebration of the '2022 Gyeonggi Sea Travel Week,' it will hold a special promotion offering up to a 50,000 KRW discount on accommodation, leisure, and experience activities in Gyeonggi Sea adjacent areas such as Hwaseong, Ansan, Pyeongtaek, Siheung, and Gimpo.

This promotion will be available on 'Yanolja' from the 1st to the 17th of next month. For accommodation products, a maximum discount of 50,000 KRW applies when the purchase amount exceeds 70,000 KRW, and for leisure and experience products, discounts range from a minimum of 5,000 KRW to a maximum of 15,000 KRW depending on the purchase amount.

Representative accommodations include Hwaseong Rolling Hills Hotel, Raviddol Resort, Hotel Prumir, and Ramada Encore Pyeongtaek. Leisure and experience products include Hwaseong Sunset Yacht Tour, Jebudo Cable Car, Siheung Wave Park, and Ansan Grand Cote Winery Experience.

Discount coupons are limited to one per person. Purchases can be made by accessing the promotion page and using the coupon when purchasing the relevant products. Detailed information is available on the 'Now Gyeonggi Sea' menu on the Gyeonggi Tourism Portal or on the Yanolja promotion page. Sales will proceed on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted.

A representative from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "With the lifting of social distancing measures, travel demand has surged, causing travel costs to rise. We expect this discount to provide practical help to tourists," adding, "It will also be a great support to the tourism industry and local economy, which have been exhausted by the COVID-19 pandemic."
