[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Atoriseo Research announced on the 30th that it has been selected for the Intelligent Hyperconnected Network Leading and Diffusion Project by the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of Korea.
Atoriseo Research participated in the project as a member company of the SK Broadband consortium. The lead company, SK Broadband, is responsible for providing telecommunications network infrastructure and leading verification, while Atoriseo Research is in charge of developing a high-capacity 100G SDN (Software Defined Networking) switch.
According to Atoriseo Research, based on SDN, traffic flow of transmission networks and long-distance networks can be controlled, and all resources on the network can be centrally monitored and managed. In other words, by building SDN for outdoor self-transmission network sections, logical network separation is applied to guarantee interference-free traffic transmission. Atoriseo Research explained that intelligent network services become possible through various device integrations.
The 100G SDN switch being developed applies a high-capacity switching chipset, supporting 32 ports and 64Tbps performance, and supports the standard SDN protocol OpenFlow. Using the OpenFlow protocol, IP, MAC, and Port information of traffic flowing on the network are centrally managed and transmission paths are controlled. Furthermore, it is characterized by the ability to manage transmission network environments where various service traffics such as traffic information and CCTV are mixed, by service type.
Jung Jae-woong, CEO of Atoriseo Research, said, "SDN manages key information such as network topology from a central controller, and when changes occur in the network topology, SDN switches automatically send that information to the controller." He added, "We will commercialize the product by acquiring KC certification and performance test reports for the hardware switch, and plan to expand the lineup by diversifying port configurations from the basic model of 32-port 100G interface."
Atoriseo Research is a software-defined infrastructure specialized company supplying SDN, SDDC (Software Defined Data Center), AI, and smart city infrastructure. Atoriseo Research is continuously expanding the new intelligent hyperconnected network technology based on SDN into local governments, public projects, and private sectors.
