The ceremony will be hosted not by professional broadcasters but by rookie public officials, under the slogan "Hope, Happiness, Future City Yeongdeungpo," with about 650 residents from various sectors including heads of professional organizations participating together.

Mayor Choi will break the precedent of sitting in the front row by sitting among the residents in the center seats during the ceremony.

Lee Soo-hee, mayor of Gangdong-gu, will begin her duties on July 1st, the first day of her term, by visiting flood-prone areas to ensure the safety of residents.

Following heavy rain overnight, a heavy rain warning was issued across Seoul after midnight. In response, Mayor-elect Lee Soo-hee plans to inspect flood control facilities such as Cheonho Rainwater Pump Station and Hangang Yukgapmun with district officials in the early morning of July 1st, and conduct safety inspections at the large redevelopment construction site in Cheonho 1 District due to the heavy rain.

During the ceremony, employees involved in music clubs will perform a congratulatory song themed "A Future Full of Hope for Gangdong," expressing their expectations for the new mayor.
