Daesang Signs MOU with Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development for Startup Growth Support On the 29th, at the 'Dasi Matna' business agreement ceremony between Daesang and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development held at the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Lim Jeong-bae, CEO of Daesang, and Kim Yong-moon, President of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, are posing for a commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Daesang announced on the 30th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development on the 29th for the ‘Dasi Matna’ program aimed at the successful growth of startup companies.


The two organizations plan to carry out the ‘Dasi Matna’ program for systematic and practical cooperation. ‘Dasi Matna’ carries the meaning of a reboot for startups through a public-private collaboration project and is named after Daesang’s representative seasoning brand, ‘Matna.’ Accordingly, Daesang will support not only startups but also re-startup companies.


Daesang will discover and support founders with excellent technological and business potential in fields such as bio and food tech. First, outstanding startups will be selected through joint evaluation with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and Daesang plans to focus on building a business environment by providing production site testing, infrastructure, education, consulting, and support for participation in overseas exhibitions for the selected companies.


Additionally, Daesang stated that it will provide multifaceted support through mutual cooperation with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, including ▲joint project discovery and collaboration with (re)startup companies ▲marketing support such as promotion ▲information sharing and financial support ▲linking IR events and government support projects.


Jungbae Lim, CEO of Daesang, said, “Through cooperation with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, we will strive to make this a meaningful program that realizes social value along with the growth of (re)startup companies,” and added, “As a leading food company in Korea, we will continue to pay attention to efforts to create a startup ecosystem for the development of promising companies in related fields.”
