[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Securities Depository announced on the 29th that it held the '2022 First Half Busan Cybersecurity Council.'
The Busan Cybersecurity Council is an organization for strengthening information security capabilities and jointly responding to cyber threats among major public institutions in the Busan area. It includes 21 institutions such as the National Intelligence Service, Korea Securities Depository, and Busan Metropolitan City Hall.
In the first half of this year’s council meeting, discussions were held on ▲ recent cyber threat trends ▲ special lectures by security experts ▲ and institution-specific cyber response strategies.
In particular, a special lecture on cyber security threats reflecting Busan’s characteristics as a blockchain regulatory free zone was conducted, providing participating institutions with an opportunity to enhance their overall understanding.
The Korea Securities Depository stated, “We will continue to strengthen the cooperation system with the government and related institutions to provide a safe financial platform.”
