The Bank of Korea to Issue KRW 8.6 Trillion in Monetary Stabilization Bonds Next Month


[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Bank of Korea announced on the 29th that it plans to issue 8.6 trillion won worth of Monetary Stabilization Bonds (MSBs) next month.


The amount scheduled to be issued through competitive bidding is 7.4 trillion won, and the amount scheduled to be issued through subscription is 1.2 trillion won.


The early redemption amount of MSBs in July is 4 trillion won.


The bidding dates for the issued MSBs are July 4, 6, 11, 14, 18, 20, and 25 for competitive bidding, and July 27 for subscription. The bidding dates for early redemption MSBs are July 7 and 19.


The Bank of Korea stated, "The issuance plan may be revised depending on the conditions of open market operations and the bond market situation, so it is essential to check the final bidding information announced on the business day before the bidding."
