[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Siemens Korea's Digital Industries (DI) division announced on the 29th that it has opened the 'Siemens Digital Enterprise Experience Center' (KDEXc) at Samsung Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The center was established to accelerate customers' digital transformation.

The center consists of training facilities, seminar rooms for collaborative education, and a digital enterprise experience and exchange space. The experience and exchange area showcases a digital twin portfolio by industry. Digital twin technology refers to creating virtual representations of real machines, equipment, or objects in a computer-generated world and simulating them to predict outcomes. The experience space is divided into five zones: ▲Digital Enterprise Overview ▲Process Industry ▲Discrete Industry ▲Future of Industry ▲Partner Zone & Product Highlights.

The opening ceremony was attended by leaders in industrial automation and digitalization, as well as senior officials from embassies in Korea. Thomas Schmid, CEO of Siemens Korea Digital Industries, expressed his ambition to design the future of the domestic digital industry together with customers through the center. Schmid stated, "Industries must actively embrace digitalization while simultaneously pursuing rapid and continuous innovation. Through this center, we will gather Siemens' comprehensive portfolio and specialized industrial knowledge to support all domestic companies, regardless of size or sector, in accelerating their digital transformation."

In addition to Korea, Siemens operates Digital Enterprise Experience Centers in 31 locations worldwide, including Germany, Singapore, and China, supporting customers' digital transformation efforts.
