Director Han Jae-rim's 'Money Game' Cranks In

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Lotte Entertainment announced on the 29th that 'Money Game' began filming on the 25th.

'Money Game,' the first series by director Han Jae-rim, who directed 'Emergency Declaration,' 'The King,' and 'The Face Reader,' is an 8-episode series adapted by combining writer Bae Jin-soo's Naver webtoons ‘Pi Game’ and ‘Money Game.’ It depicts the story of eight participants who repeatedly cooperate and conflict within an extreme setting where the game ends if a death occurs in a socially isolated space. Actors Ryu Jun-yeol, Chun Woo-hee, Park Jung-min, Lee Yeol-eum, Park Hae-joon, Lee Joo-young, Moon Jung-hee, and Bae Sung-woo star in the series.

At the ceremony, director Han said, "This is my first time adapting a work with an original source, so I am nervous and excited to work with such excellent actors. I will do my best to present an enjoyable work based on a solid story."

The online video service (OTT) series 'Money Game' is the first to adapt and visualize two original works. Studio N and Magnum Nine are producing, with Lotte Cultureworks participating as the main investor and co-producer.
