[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education operated a student emotional stability and family healing camp for families with elementary and middle school students over four days on the 18th-19th and 25th-26th at Pohang Sannuri, Gimcheon, and Yeongdeok Auto Camping Sites.
The camp was organized to strengthen the bond between children and parents and to help students who are psychologically unstable due to learning loss caused by COVID-19 achieve emotional stability through various experiences.
A total of 41 families and 157 participants joined the camp through prior applications on each camping site's homepage. The camp offered various experiential programs such as ▲family camping cooking contest ▲making dalgona ▲Squid Game ▲letters to family ▲jegichagi ▲traditional folk games experience, as well as programs with local artists, providing an opportunity to strengthen family bonds.
Lee Sang-guk, Director of School Support, said, “I hope the camp serves as an opportunity to revitalize students and families exhausted by COVID-19,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to operate diverse and substantial programs in the future.”
