The 'Bus' Returns to the Village Where Scholars Lived... Yeongju City Resumes Yeongju City Tour After 3 Years


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] The Yeongju City Tour bus, which was suspended due to COVID-19, will resume operation after three years.


Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 29th that the Yeongju City Tour bus will prepare to welcome tourists with various themes in line with the full recovery of daily life and will operate every Saturday and Sunday starting from July.


The Yeongju City Tour is a tourism product where visitors can ride a bus to visit and experience Yeongju's key tourist attractions, operated in three courses: Seonbi Course, Healing 1 Course, and Healing 2 Course.


The 'Seonbi Course,' operating on Saturdays, offers a glimpse into the Yeongju Seonbi spirit and passes through △Buseoksa Temple △Sosuseowon Academy and Seonbi Village △Jongbokwon Center △Specialty Market (Traditional Market) △Gwansagol and Buyongdae.


The 'Healing 1 Course,' operating on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays, is a walking course along Jukryeong Old Road, certified as one of Korea's three beautiful forest trails, passing through △Museom Village and Cheonjijin Traditional Thought Experience Center △Buseoksa Temple △Sosuseowon Academy △Jukryeong Old Road △Specialty Market (Traditional Market).


The 'Healing 2 Course,' operating on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, is a course to experience forest healing at the National Forest Healing Center, selected as a representative wellness tourism destination, passing through △Museom Village and Cheonjijin Traditional Thought Experience Center △Buseoksa Temple △Sosuseowon Academy △National Forest Healing Center △Specialty Market (Traditional Market).


In addition to the regular courses, during the 2022 Yeongju World Punggi Ginseng Expo, the region's first international event held for 23 days from September 30 to October, a special planned course linking the expo venue and major local tourist attractions such as Seonbi World will be operated.


The City Tour fare is 4,000 KRW for adults, with entrance fees to tourist sites and meal costs borne by the individual. Reservations and inquiries can be made through the Yeongju City Tour website.


A Yeongju city official said, "We hope that tourists, whose bodies and minds have been exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, will recover their health through a healing trip to Yeongju," adding, "We hope visitors enjoy the charm and taste of Yeongju through the City Tour and create special memories."
