[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] SK Shieldus (CEO Park Jin-hyo) announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Waste Recycling Cooperative to establish customized security solutions for waste recycling companies.

According to the revised enforcement regulations of the 'Waste Management Act' announced by the Ministry of Environment in July last year, all business sites operating waste disposal businesses are required to install video information processing devices (CCTV) to prevent fires. In particular, business sites with waste storage of 300 tons or less must complete installation by July 5, 2023, and those exceeding 300 tons must complete installation by July 5 of this year.

Through this agreement, SK Shieldus will support the construction of optimal customized video security systems that meet the standards announced by the Ministry of Environment, such as 24-hour recording and 60-day storage, for about 900 member companies affiliated with the Korea Waste Recycling Cooperative. In addition, it plans to expand partnership support for member companies, including customized security consulting as well as security services such as unmanned security and access control. The Korea Waste Recycling Cooperative agreed to promote SK Shieldus's security solutions on its official website.

Kim Yun-ho, Head of the Strategic Business Group at SK Shieldus, said, "With this business agreement, member companies affiliated with the Korea Waste Recycling Cooperative are expected to be able to install video security solutions that perfectly meet the standards announced by the Ministry of Environment in a timely manner." He added, "SK Shieldus will continue to focus its business capabilities on improving the quality of security services based on big tech and providing customized security solutions that customers need."
