Ulsan Hosts National Happiness IT Competition... Applications Open Until July 10 for Disabled, Elderly, and Marriage Immigrants Ulsan City Hall.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is holding an IT competition for information-vulnerable groups.


The competition is organized to motivate informatization education and spread public digital inclusion awareness for people with disabilities, the elderly, middle-aged, marriage immigrants, and digital learning center students.


This competition has been held annually since 2003, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National Information Society Agency and metropolitan local governments.


The competition categories are four: people with disabilities, elderly group 1 (aged 75 and above), elderly group 2 (aged 65 to 74), middle-aged group (aged 55 to 64), and marriage immigrants and digital learning centers.


Applications can be submitted through the competition website by July 10.


The preliminary competition will be held on July 20 at local informatization education institutions for the disabled, such as the Ulsan Welfare Center for the Visually Impaired, depending on the number of applicants.


Sixteen high-scoring preliminary qualifiers residing in Ulsan (4 in the disability category, 6 in the elderly category, 3 in the middle-aged category, and 3 in the digital learning center category) will participate in the final competition held on September 7 at the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
