[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Daegu Catholic University signed a business agreement with five Daegu and Gyeongbuk affiliates of SM Group, including SM Woobang, SM TK Chemical, SM Namseon Aluminum, SM Vexel, and SM Hwajin, at the university's main building.
At the signing ceremony, the six institutions jointly promised mutual cooperation in ▲human and material support from each institution for technology development and talent cultivation ▲mutual support for establishing a foundation for joint research ▲mutual exchange for workforce development and support for student employment and field training ▲business support for corporate management consulting services.
Daegu Catholic University agreed to provide industry-academic cooperation scholarships to executives and employees working at SM Group's Daegu and Gyeongbuk affiliates who enroll in the Justino Liberal Arts College.
Woo Dong-gi, president of Daegu Catholic University, said, “It is meaningful to join forces with deeply rooted companies in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions,” and added, “I hope this agreement will be an opportunity to create a new page in industry-academic cooperation.”
