[Breaking] Vehicle Found Off Wando Coast, Presumed to Belong to Missing Family

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The police investigating the disappearance of the family of 10-year-old Jo Yuna found a vehicle around 5:12 PM on the 28th at the end of a cage aquaculture site 80 meters away from the breakwater.

They confirmed by diving that it was an Audi vehicle. The inside of the vehicle is dark, so it has not yet been inspected.

The police are preparing to recover the vehicle in cooperation with the coast guard.

The Jo family had applied to the school for an outdoor experiential learning trip in Jeju Island from the 19th of last month to the 15th of this month for a family vacation.

However, instead of the planned destination, they stayed at a pension in Sinji-myeon, Wando, Jeollanam-do from the 24th to the 30th of last month, and all family members' mobile phones were turned off at dawn on the 31st, cutting off contact.

After the experiential learning period ended on the 16th, the school reported to the police on the 22nd as Jo did not attend school, but there has been no news so far.

It has been 29 days since the last mobile phone signal, and despite a week of police search efforts, their whereabouts remain unknown.
