[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Wooseok] A mural of Son Heung-min (30, Tottenham), who became the top scorer of the 2021-22 season English Premier League (EPL), has appeared on a street in London, UK.

Spurs Web, which reports news about Tottenham Hotspur, shared on Twitter on the 27th (local time) a photo of the mural depicting Son Heung-min's signature 'Chalkak Celebration.'

The mural, created by graffiti artist 'Gnasher,' was painted on Stoneleigh Street in North London, UK, featuring Son Heung-min performing the 'Chalkak Celebration,' along with his English name and jersey number 7.

Gnasher posted the mural photo on his Facebook account, writing, "This is for my son Danny. My son, who is British Asian, aspires to resemble Son Heung-min, the first Asian EPL top scorer."

Son Heung-min scored 23 goals in the 2021-2022 EPL season, sharing the top scorer title with Mohamed Salah (Liverpool). He is the first Asian player ever to win the EPL top scorer award.

Son Heung-min was called up to the South Korean national team in June and played four A-match games domestically. Next month, he will meet domestic fans as a Tottenham player.

Tottenham will embark on a Korean preseason tour in July, facing the K League All-Star team at Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium on the 13th, and Spain's La Liga team Sevilla at Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 16th.
