Suburban Line (Scheduled to Resume in 2024) Jangheung Station Ultra-Prime Location, High Accessibility to GTX-A, C, and F Attracts Attention
Recently, as GTX has emerged as a key keyword in the Gyeonggi real estate market, complexes located in areas expected to benefit doubly from GTX and the resumption of the suburban line connecting the northwestern region of Gyeonggi are gaining attention.
The suburban line is the only railway line connecting the northwestern region of Gyeonggi from east to west, covering a 32.1 km section that links Yangju Ilyeong Station, Jangheung Station, Songchu Station with Uijeongbu Station on Line 1 and Neunggok Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. Operation is scheduled to resume in 2024 with six stations: Daegok, Wolleung, Ilyeong, Jangheung, Songchu, and Uijeongbu. This is expected to enhance northern Gyeonggi transportation infrastructure and establish a metropolitan area circular railway network.
In particular, the suburban line is expected to connect with various lines including GTX, which is regarded as having high future value. At Daegok Station, where the suburban line stops, the GTX-A Line (Unjeong~Dongtan) will be introduced, and at Uijeongbu Station, the GTX-C Line (Deokjeong~Suwon) is planned. Additionally, the GTX-F Line (Goyang~Suwon~Seongnam~Uijeongbu~Goyang) plan, which includes Jangheung Station, is also under discussion as part of the presidential election pledges.
For example, the Jangheung-myeon area in Yangju City is expected to enjoy excellent transportation conditions through the suburban line’s Jangheung Station (scheduled for 2024). Jangheung Station is highly anticipated as a stop on the GTX-F Line, and it is only three stops to Daegok Station, which connects to the GTX-A Line (planned), and two stops to Uijeongbu Station, which connects to the GTX-C Line (planned). Furthermore, when traveling to Daegok Station, access to Subway Line 3, the Daegok-Sosa Line (planned), and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line will improve Seoul accessibility.
Meanwhile, SM Gyeongnam Enterprise is supplying ‘Jangheung Station Gyeongnam Honorsville Bukhansan View’ in the Jangheung-myeon area of Yangju City. The complex will be the largest branded complex in Yangju Jangheung, consisting of 14 buildings ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 20 floors, with a single exclusive area of 84㎡ and a total of 741 households. Located in the ultra-station area of Jangheung Station on the suburban line scheduled to open in 2024, it is expected to enjoy the ultra-station area premium.
