Ottogi Launches 'Sancheong-style Snail Doenjang Soup' and 'Cheongju-style Pork Kimchi Jjageuli'

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Ottogi announced on the 28th that it has launched ‘Sancheong-style Snail Doenjang Soup’ and ‘Cheongju-style Pork Kimchi Jjageuli,’ allowing consumers to easily enjoy representative regional soup dishes at home.

Sancheong-style Snail Doenjang Soup features a chewy texture and savory taste by generously adding snails carefully selected from Sancheong in Jirisan. It is composed to be refreshing and light by including domestic radish greens, snails, and young napa cabbage in a rich doenjang broth. Cheongju-style Pork Kimchi Jjageuli is characterized by a thick and spicy broth made by simmering domestic pork rib meat and aged kimchi, faithfully recreating the taste of the Chungcheong-do local dish ‘Jjageuli.’

Including the newly released products, Ottogi’s ‘Regional-style Soups and Stews’ series currently consists of a total of 11 varieties, such as ‘Jongno-style Ox Knee Soup,’ ‘Busan-style Pork Soup,’ and ‘Andong-style Beef Soup.’

An Ottogi representative said, “As the home-cooked meal trend continues, demand for convenient and hearty soup and stew home meal replacements (HMR) that can be enjoyed at home is increasing. We hope customers can easily and deliciously enjoy various products that capture the unique characteristics of each region at home.”
