The Hydrogen Industry Exhibition 'Hydrogen Mobility+ Show' Renamed to 'H2 MEET'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The name of Korea's largest hydrogen industry specialized exhibition, 'Hydrogen Mobility+ Show,' will be changed to 'H2 MEET.'

The Hydrogen Mobility+ Show Organizing Committee held an extraordinary general meeting at the Automobile Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 27th and announced on the 28th that they had resolved to change the name from 'Hydrogen Mobility+ Show' to 'H2 MEET.'

In the new name, 'H2' stands for hydrogen, 'M' represents Mobility, 'E' stands for Energy and carbon neutrality (Environment), and 'T' means Technology. It also carries a double meaning that visitors can feel familiar with and MEET the present and future of the rapidly developing global hydrogen industry.

Based on the new name, the organizing committee plans to structure the exhibition layout by dividing the hydrogen value chain into production, storage/transportation, and utilization, so that new products and technologies related to hydrogen, renewable energy, and carbon neutrality (such as CCUS) can be well highlighted, and to expand the recruitment of participating companies.

Jung Manki, chairman of the organizing committee and KAMA president, said, "Due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war causing a sharp rise in oil prices, the hydrogen industry is becoming a means to enhance energy self-sufficiency while achieving carbon neutrality, leading to groundbreaking investments from the EU and other European countries." He added, "This exhibition will be an opportunity to confirm the present and future of the world-class domestic hydrogen vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells, and hydrogen utilization industries, and to vividly experience the trends of rapidly advancing global hydrogen production, storage, and transportation technologies."

Meanwhile, H2 MEET, now in its third year, is Korea's largest hydrogen industry specialized exhibition, scheduled to be held for four days from August 31 to September 3 at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. About 200 companies and institutions from 12 countries worldwide are expected to participate and unveil new products and technologies, with approximately 30,000 visitors anticipated to attend the event.
