[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON (CEO Jang Yoon-seok) announced on the 28th that it has signed an agreement with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (Chairman Cho Hyang-hyun) to establish a 'subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled.'
As the first case of creating jobs for the disabled in the local community, TMON plans to open a barista cafe for the disabled in the old downtown area of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province in the second half of this year. Based on the cafe, TMON aims to provide jobs for people with severe disabilities in the Jeju area while also contributing to the revitalization of Jeju's old downtown.
Jang Yoon-seok, CEO of TMON, said, "Creating jobs for the disabled in the local community is one of the key win-win agendas for TMON, which pursues relational commerce. We plan to make related workplaces, starting with the barista cafe for the disabled that is being prepared, spaces that coexist with the local community."
