[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Youngpyo Moon) visited Mureusil Village in Sinpung-myeon, Gongju City, Chungnam Province, a 1 Company 1 Village exchange village of the corporation, on the 22nd to carry out a village labor assistance activity with labor and management, spending a meaningful time with the villagers.

This labor assistance activity resumed after being suspended for two years due to social distancing caused by COVID-19.

Since establishing a sisterhood relationship with Mureusil Village in July 2009, the corporation has continuously engaged in exchange activities by visiting the village 2 to 3 times a year to help with labor for over 10 years.

In particular, the corporation practices social value by having its executives and employees purchase agricultural products they directly harvested through rural experience and labor assistance, and sharing them with vulnerable groups in the local community.

Seongman Seo, Head of the Management Headquarters, stated, “It was a day to feel the preciousness of rural villages through the warm welcome of the villagers, heartfelt snacks, and harvesting of village crops.”
