[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Jung Tae-young, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Card, is reportedly set to welcome the world-renowned golf star Lydia Ko as his daughter-in-law this December.
According to the financial industry on the 27th, Jung's youngest son, Jung Joon, and Lydia Ko plan to hold their wedding ceremony at Myeongdong Cathedral on December 30th.
Their relationship was already reported by domestic media last year.
Jung graduated from Claremont McKenna College in California, USA, and is currently working at a Hyundai Motor Group affiliate in San Francisco.
Born in Korea in 1997, Lydia Ko immigrated to New Zealand in 2003. She won the LPGA Tour Canada Open in 2012, earned a silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, and a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics last year. She is currently ranked 4th in the world in women's golf.
