Gyeongnam Office of Education, Contest from June 27 to July 22
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education will hold a contest from the 27th to July 22 under the theme "Practicing Eating Habits that Protect the Earth and Health."
The provincial Office of Education stated that this contest was planned to establish vegetarian school meals, which have been promoted since September 2021 to respond to the climate crisis and promote health, and to foster a culture of reducing food waste.
The contest targets students, parents, and faculty members attending elementary, middle, high, and special schools within the province, with themes including ▲vegetarian school meals ▲reducing food waste ▲practices for eating local foods.
Slogans are aimed at students, parents, and faculty members and must be written in Korean within approximately 25 characters.
Posters are only for students and must be original drawings colored on 8-cut paper or created as image files in JPG or JPEG format.
There is no resolution standard, but if the quality of photographed or scanned posters is too low to be identifiable, they may be excluded from judging, so care is needed when creating files.
Completed works can be submitted by visiting the Education Welfare Division of the provincial Office of Education in person, by mail, or by email.
For more details, refer to the Gyeongnam Office of Education website or contact the Education Welfare Division for guidance.
Kim Soonhee, head of the Education Welfare Division, said, "Award-winning works will be used for future nutrition and dietary education," adding, "We hope this will be an opportunity to expand a dietary culture that protects health and overcomes the climate crisis not only in schools but also in homes and local communities."
