[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Oasis Market announced on the 27th that it will hold a special exhibition titled 'A Healthy Table Embracing Nature, Summer Seasonal Agricultural and Livestock Products,' featuring domestic seasonal agricultural and livestock products, until the 30th.

Oasis Market stated that the popularity of summer agricultural and livestock products is remarkable, with sales of Chodang Corn, a representative summer agricultural product, growing by 565% in May and June compared to the same period last year due to the early heat.

This event is part of the 'Let's Support Korean Agriculture' project jointly conducted with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT). It was prepared to help promote the sales of domestic agricultural and livestock products amid the growing popularity of seasonal agricultural products.

The representative products of this exhibition, which consists entirely of domestic agricultural and livestock products, include ▲ sweet and juicy Chodang Corn ▲ high-sugar-content watermelons from Seonunsan, Gochang ▲ fresh domestic cucumbers grown using eco-friendly farming methods ▲ and clean Jeju black pork shoulder for grilling. The exhibition also focuses on easing the burden on consumers struggling with soaring prices recently by offering higher discounts and a larger variety of items than previous events.

Each product is discounted up to 71%, and an additional 10,000 KRW discount can be applied with a 20% exclusive coupon, allowing purchases at up to 76% lower prices than usual.

The number of discounted items, mainly grains such as rice and mixed grains and livestock products like Korean pork and Korean beef whose prices have recently surged, has been significantly expanded from about 200 to 500 items to provide practical help to consumers.

An Oasis Market official said, "We have significantly lowered the prices of grains and livestock products, which usually have low discount rates," adding, "We hope this domestic summer seasonal agricultural and livestock products event, prepared with greater benefits than previous exhibitions, will help both domestic agricultural and livestock producers and consumers."
