Test Run and Safety Inspection Due to Monorail Increase from July 11 to 15
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The monorail and zipline within the DaeBongSan Healing Valley in Hamyang, emerging as the largest mountain-type healing tourism complex in western Gyeongnam, will temporarily close for facility expansion to enhance customer convenience.
According to Hamyang County on the 27th, the currently operating 10 monorail units have faced difficulties accommodating enough visitors during peak seasons, and plans to increase the number of monorail units have been steadily discussed to resolve this issue.
With the completion of the manufacturing process for 3 additional monorail vehicles, they are scheduled to undergo a 5-day test run and safety inspection from July 11 to 15, after which they will be officially deployed on the DaeBongSan monorail track.
A representative of DaeBongSan Healing Valley stated, “This increase in units is expected to significantly resolve the capacity issues that the DaeBongSan monorail has faced compared to the number of visitors. During the test run period, in addition to the increase in units, adjustments to balance the speed of the monorail vehicles will also be reviewed, so we anticipate providing customers with a more thrilling tourism service.”
