[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong County in Jeonnam recently announced on the 27th that it operated the ‘Visiting Psychological Support Open Mind Counseling Center’ in cooperation with Jeonbuk Science University at the Jangseong County Health Center.
The ‘Visiting Psychological Support Open Mind Counseling Center’ visits residents directly to conduct mental health assessments, stress measurements, and provides psychological counseling on mental health recovery and stress relief methods.
It is a project aimed at improving the quality of life of residents by early detecting mental health issues and linking them to customized treatment services such as consultations with psychiatric specialists and hospital care.
During this counseling, the county used a stress measurement device called ‘Omnifit Brain’ to measure residents’ stress levels and conducted psychological counseling on stress relief and depression improvement.
A campaign to improve awareness of depression was also conducted simultaneously.
A health center official stated, “We plan to provide continuous management such as one-on-one case management and treatment cost support for high-risk individuals identified through this counseling,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts to promote the mental health of residents.”
Meanwhile, the county is promoting various mental health enhancement projects such as designating Life Love Mind Care Pharmacies, lifecycle-specific projects, and suicide prevention education.
