[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Disabled Working Subcommittee of the Gijang-gun Community Security Council conducted a disability awareness improvement campaign on the 22nd targeting residents of LH Complex 7 in Jeonggwan-eup.

The campaign was organized to provide accurate information about people with disabilities, foster positive awareness, and collaborate with the Jeonggwan-eup Customized Welfare Team to identify welfare blind spots.

Under the slogan "Hope Bichumi, the Disabled Subcommittee is Coming!", the Disabled Working Subcommittee, together with the Gijang Disabled Welfare Center and seven related local organizations, carried out activities including ▲a card news campaign to improve disability awareness ▲consultations on welfare services such as disability registration and vocational training ▲promotion of the Community Security Council through sharing cotton candy and popcorn. About 300 local residents participated in the event.

The Jeonggwan-eup Customized Welfare Team operated the 4th "Visiting Mind PLUS(+) Welfare Counseling Center," providing welfare and mental health counseling to about 100 residents, along with guidance on senior customized care services and updated welfare policies to identify welfare blind spots.

A representative of the County Community Security Council stated, "In the second half of the year, we plan to promote projects aimed at enhancing the happiness and quality of life of Gijang residents to solve local issues."

The Gijang-gun Community Security Council has formed seven working subcommittees this year and is promoting specialized public-private cooperative projects by subcommittee.

Three working subcommittees are implementing projects such as ▲the Health and Medical Subcommittee’s COVID-19 Contributor Support Project "Thanks to You" ▲the Child and Youth Subcommittee’s child and parent counseling and life respect project "Alssongdalssong Geumjjok-i Mind" ▲the Case Management Subcommittee’s public and private case managers’ healing network "Sseudam Sseudam Mind Healing."
