Reduce Work and Increase Income! ... Ulsan Gangnam and Gangbuk School Support Centers Expand Support for Selling Unused IT Equipment

Reduce Work and Increase Income! ... Ulsan Gangnam and Gangbuk School Support Centers Expand Support for Selling Unused IT Equipment Ulsan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Gangnam and Gangbuk Education Support Office School Support Centers have reduced workload by acting as agents for the sale of unused informatization devices such as computers, laptops, monitors, and printers from schools.

The informatization device disposal sale support project, first implemented last year, has received high satisfaction from schools and is being expanded this year.

The number of sales support sessions has been increased from once a year to twice a year, and one additional type of item has been added to the target goods for expanded implementation.

The School Support Centers collected a total of 5,500 unused informatization devices from public kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools within the jurisdiction. The collected devices were sold at Onbid public auction for about 218 million KRW.

The sales proceeds were recorded as income for each respective school, with schools receiving up to 8.23 million KRW, significantly contributing to increased revenue.

A school official who applied for the unused informatization device sale support said, “The School Support Center handles everything from collection, hard drive dismantling, degaussing, to sale of informatization devices that are no longer usable due to expiration or malfunction, which greatly helps reduce our workload.”

A School Support Center official stated, “We will continue to actively reflect the opinions of schools and steadily promote the informatization device disposal project with substance.”
