[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] SC First Bank announced that starting from the 27th, it will offer up to 3.2% (annual, before tax) interest rates to first-time customers who subscribe to a 12-month fixed deposit (interest paid at maturity).

To receive the highest fixed deposit interest rate benefit, customers must first deposit at least 300,000 KRW into a demand deposit account. Additionally, if they subscribe to a fixed deposit of 100 million KRW or more, they will receive the highest interest rate of 3.2%, and if they subscribe to less than 100 million KRW (at least 1 million KRW), they will receive an interest rate of 3.15%. To apply these rates, subscription must be made at a branch.

The non-face-to-face exclusive product, 'e-Green Save Deposit' (12-month maturity), will also raise its highest interest rate to 3.0% (annual, before tax) starting the same day. Accounts can be opened via the SC First Bank mobile banking app from 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays. The subscription limit per account is from 1 million KRW to less than 500 million KRW, and there is no limit on the number of accounts one person can open.

The special interest rate event for the daily compound interest savings deposit (MMDA), which has been ongoing since the 2nd for first-time customers, will extend until the 30th with an increased recruitment limit from 200 billion KRW to 300 billion KRW, adding an additional 100 billion KRW. First-time customers who subscribe with 100 million KRW or more (up to 2 billion KRW) will receive a special interest rate benefit of up to 1.9% daily on their balance for up to 60 days from the subscription date.
