Hana Bank Launches 'Hana One Q Financial Fraud Prevention Service' to Prevent Phishing

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hana Bank announced on the 27th that it will launch a financial fraud prevention service on its representative mobile banking application Hana One Q to prevent the rapidly increasing phishing scams such as messenger phishing in advance and protect financial consumers.

The Hana One Q financial fraud prevention service is designed to protect customers' assets from new types of electronic financial fraud by providing "the latest and major financial fraud type content" through the combination and analysis of big data related to financial fraud on domestic and international internet and data reported to financial institutions. This service is provided in partnership with the startup company Data Universe Inc.

Hana Bank plans to frequently notify users of newly emerging financial fraud types through app-push notifications on the Hana One Q app, and users can check the latest phishing-related information in the financial fraud prevention service menu under the Life/Partnership category of Hana One Q.

A Hana Bank official stated, "New financial fraud techniques are becoming more sophisticated day by day," and added, "Through the Hana One Q financial fraud prevention service, Hana Bank will continuously provide high-quality content so that customers can use mobile banking more safely and conveniently."

Meanwhile, since 2020, Hana Bank has been implementing customized comprehensive measures to prevent voice phishing, strengthening big data-based monitoring, and operating various anomaly transaction detection system (FDS) scenarios accumulated by type, such as dealing with mule accounts, remote app installation, and overseas remittances. Through these efforts, it prevented about 14,000 cases of damage last year alone.
