Hyundai Engineering Wins Contract for Yangsan Welfare Apartment Reconstruction

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Hyundai Engineering announced on the 27th that it has been finally selected as the construction company for the reconstruction and maintenance project of Greenpia Apartment (formerly Bokji Apartment) in Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam.

This project involves reconstructing Greenpia Apartment in Beomeori 502-3, Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan, into 4 buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to 25 above-ground floors, with a total of 453 households. The construction cost is 107.4 billion KRW. This apartment was built in 1992 by Yangsan City for worker welfare apartment purposes.

Hyundai Engineering was selected as the construction company because the Hillstate brand is entering Yangsan for the first time, and the project conditions for fast and stable project promotion received support from the union members.

This location has high accessibility to nearby cities such as Busan and Gimhae through Namyangsan Station on Busan Metro Line 2 and the Gyeongbu Expressway and Jungang Expressway. With plans for metro line extension and the opening of the Yangsan Light Rail Transit, transportation infrastructure is expected to expand further. Nearby are Obongsan Mountain, Yangsancheon Stream, and Yangsan Design Park. Additionally, many schools such as Beomeo Elementary, Hwangsan Elementary, Obong Elementary, and Beomeo Middle School are within walking distance.

A Hyundai Engineering official said, "This is the first Hillstate brand and exterior specialization applied to a maintenance project in Yangsan," adding, "We will do our best to build a unique landmark in Yangsan City."
