Daewoo E&C announced on the 27th that it has won and signed a contract for the 'Warri Refinery Quick Fix PJ,' an emergency repair project for the Warri Refinery facility commissioned by Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).


Baek Jeong-wan, CEO of Daewoo E&C, personally visited Nigeria and signed the Letter of Award (LOA) as a witness in Abuja, the capital, on the 24th (local time).


This project involves emergency repairs up to the commissioning stage to produce petroleum products at the existing Warri Refinery facility located 8.5 km north of Warri Port in southern Nigeria.


Daewoo E&C secured this project through a sole-source contract and plans to execute it independently. The total contract amount is approximately $492.32 million (about 640.4 billion KRW), with the construction period from July 2022 to December 2023.
