[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Nayeon] Former President Moon Jae-in's recent status is being revealed through social networking services (SNS).
On the former president Moon's Instagram account, five posts were uploaded in a row on the 24th alone. The total number of photos posted that day is 11, including images of him climbing Yeongchuksan in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, eating ramen, and resting with his wife Kim Jung-sook.
Earlier, on the 19th, two photos were posted on former President Moon's Instagram with the caption "This year's first harvest is lettuce." along with hashtags '#MoonJaein' and '#SincereInFieldWork'. It was the first time he shared his status via Instagram after stepping down.
He also posted three consecutive posts, including photos with his pet dog Tori, accompanied by captions such as "The reason I can't help but love Tori," and "Irresistible cuteness."
At that time, when former President Moon resumed communication by posting four consecutive posts on Instagram, former Saenuri Party (predecessor of the People Power Party) lawmaker Jeon Yeo-ok criticized, saying, "He is nothing more and nothing less than a pathetic man who, after sending a breakup message on KakaoTalk, incessantly posts recent photos with 'tap tap' sounds."
She added, "He sang that he wanted to be forgotten, but right after stepping down, he fears being forgotten and posts on SNS," referring to former President Moon. She sarcastically said, "This makes him look like an SNS addict, worse than Cho Kuk or Lee Jun-seok."
On the 24th, photos were posted showing former President Moon and Mrs. Kim sitting on a wooden bench with their pet dog Tori. The images included the couple resting with their backs on bare soil and greeting citizens they met during their hike. Additionally, a photo posted with the caption "Hiking together" included hashtags like '#MoonJaein #KimJungsook #YeongchuksanIsMyStrength #IsThisLoveStagram'.
Photos of a hike to Yeongchuksan with close aides were also revealed. Along with the caption, "This is not the Nepal Himalayas. This is Chwiseo Mountain Lodge of Yeongnam Alps Yeongchuksan in South Korea. Wherever there is hiking, cup ramen is a must," the photos showed former President Moon, wearing a gray jumper and soaked in sweat, eating cup ramen 'Jin Ramen' and smiling while eating ramen-shaped snacks 'Bbusyeo Bbusyeo' as dessert.
The following posts featured the 'farmer' concept that former President Moon has recently posted often. A photo was uploaded showing him wearing a straw hat at his residence, gazing at the sunset with his pet dog Tori.
Regarding this, former President Moon expressed poetically, "The sunset of the southern countryside where I originally lived and have returned to," adding hashtags '#MoonJaein #SunsetOfSouthernCountryside'.
In this way, former President Moon has been showing himself to the public through SNS since stepping down last month. The Moon Jae-in administration's Blue House Twitter account still exists.
