‘Half Price’ Extended Again... Uljin-gun Extends Rental Fee Reduction for Leased Agricultural Machinery Until the End of This Year

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] Uljin-gun Agricultural Technology Center is extending the 'Rental Agricultural Machinery Rental Fee Reduction' until the end of this year to support farmers struggling due to COVID-19.

Originally scheduled to be reduced until the end of June, the 50% rental fee reduction benefit for agricultural machinery has been additionally extended until the end of this year, considering the prolonged COVID-19 situation and the labor shortage during the farming season faced by farmers.

The agricultural machinery rental project is a service that rents out agricultural machinery to farmers to reduce the burden of purchasing expensive machinery and to promote mechanization of farming operations, thereby saving labor and management costs.

Farmers who need to rent agricultural machinery can visit or call one of the four Agricultural Machinery Rental Offices at the Agricultural Technology Center to make a reservation. Existing beneficiaries of the reduction and transportation fees for agricultural machinery are excluded from the reduction.

Hwang Jeung-ho, Director of Uljin-gun Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We decided to additionally extend the reduction to ease the concerns of farmers facing difficulties in farming,” and added, “We will actively utilize the rental agricultural machinery of the Agricultural Technology Center until the end of the year and continue to strive to provide various benefits to farmers.”
