Famous Model Attacked While Petting Baby Elephant... "Still Cute"

Famous Model Attacked While Petting Baby Elephant... "Still Cute" Photo by Twitter capture

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Nayeon] A video of a famous female model visiting Thailand being harassed by a baby elephant has become a hot topic online, the Daily Mail reported on the 23rd (local time).

According to the media, model Megan Millan visited an elephant sanctuary located in Chiang Mai, Thailand earlier this month. At the site, a three-week-old baby elephant showed unusual interest and approached the model.

The baby elephant slowly approached the model, and Millan petted the baby elephant's head, finding it cute. However, the model was pushed over by the baby elephant and, while trying to crawl away, the baby elephant stepped on her skirt, putting it at risk of being torn.

The baby elephant also fell on top of the fallen Megan. Additionally, the baby elephant grabbed Megan's skirt with its trunk and pulled it, eventually tearing the skirt. Despite this, Megan did not seem embarrassed and was smiling. While Megan Millan was adjusting the torn skirt, an older elephant approached and took the baby elephant away.

The video became a sensation on social media, with over 12 million views.

Megan Millan said, "I have often seen elephants, but I had never been with such a young elephant before," adding, "Although it was only three weeks old, it was definitely heavy and strong."

Megan Millan also shared the video on her Twitter. When other Twitter users asked if the elephant was being excessively violent, she responded, "Elephants are not animals that roam around to harm people," and added, "They are one of the few animals with empathy," defending the elephant.
