19 Billion KRW Invested... Equipped with Meeting Rooms and Rest Areas
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do held a completion ceremony on the 24th for the Veterans Hall, a long-cherished project for veterans' families.
The completion ceremony was attended by County Governor Lee Dong-jin, County Council Chairperson Park Geum-rye, officials from the Jeonnam Western Veterans Office, as well as internal and external guests and members of Jindo-gun veterans' organizations.
The Jindo-gun Veterans Hall was constructed with a total budget of 1.9 billion KRW, featuring a two-story building with a total floor area of 472㎡, comprising veterans' organization offices, meeting rooms, and rest areas.
It is expected to enhance the respect and treatment for veterans' families who devoted themselves to the nation and ethnicity, and improve the efficiency of veterans' affairs through securing an independent space for veterans' organizations.
A representative from the Jindo-gun Resident Welfare Division stated, "The construction of the Veterans Hall was a long-standing wish of local national merit recipients and veterans' families, which has now been fulfilled," adding, "We will strive to create a community atmosphere where the dignified sacrifice and dedication to the nation are honored."
