[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Movex announced on the 23rd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with PTC Korea to advance manufacturing and logistics smart solutions.
Under this agreement, both companies will collaborate to enhance and commercialize equipment failure and lifespan prediction (predictive maintenance) and industrial safety management solutions. Hyundai Movex expects this to strengthen its comprehensive smart logistics automation solutions.
By integrating Hyundai Movex's solutions with PTC's Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technologies, it will become possible to monitor machines and equipment on-site in real time through a mobile digital twin interface.
Additionally, they are considering jointly developing an industrial safety management solution using PTC's augmented reality (AR) platform and establishing a test operation space (demo center). The company anticipates this will help prevent major accidents and improve work efficiency and skill levels.
Hyundai Movex stated, "The combination of smart logistics and manufacturing business networks with innovative technologies will create new synergies." PTC said, "We will pursue various collaborations to enhance our clients' competitiveness and expand market channels domestically and internationally."
