Gwangju City Council Holds Orientation for 9th Term Elected Members

This orientation was prepared to provide an overview of the basic status of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council and general information necessary for legislative activities ahead of the launch of the 9th Council, so that the elected members can smoothly carry out their legislative duties.

In particular, ahead of the opening of the council, detailed guidance will be provided on the election of the chairperson group and the legislative schedule, prohibition of concurrent positions for members, obligations under the implementation of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, property registration procedures, and other precautions during legislative activities.

Meanwhile, the elected members will elect the chairperson and vice-chairperson to lead the first half of the term at the 308th extraordinary session at 10 a.m. on July 11, and hold an opening ceremony in the main assembly hall at 2 p.m., officially beginning their legislative activities.
