[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The testimony of the small business owner suspected of providing sexual favors to Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, has been postponed.

The Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency reportedly postponed the schedule to interview Kim Seong-jin, CEO of iKist, who is currently in custody, on the 23rd.

Kim So-yeon, the legal representative of CEO Kim, claimed at a press conference held at the National Assembly on the 22nd, “Those who claimed to be close aides of Lee tried to approach Kim’s associates in various ways to persuade them not to cooperate with the investigation.”

At the end of last year, Garosero Yeon-gso and others accused Lee of receiving sexual favors from CEO Kim in 2013 and filed a complaint with the prosecution. In January, the prosecution transferred the case to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

The police are reportedly rescheduling the investigation of CEO Kim.
