The head of POSCO Pohang Steelworks visited the POSCO Humans workplace and is organizing laundry together with the employees.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] The head of POSCO Pohang Steelworks conducted volunteer work to assist with laundry at a standard workplace for people with disabilities on the 21st.
On this day, Lee Baek-hee, head of Pohang Steelworks, along with eight steelworks executives, visited the POSCO Humans Pohang cleaning workshop in celebration of POSCO's special volunteer week, Global Model Citizen Week.
POSCO Humans is Korea's first subsidiary-type standard workplace for people with disabilities, employing 305 disabled workers out of a total of 636 employees. The Pohang cleaning workshop operated by POSCO Humans provides laundry services for work uniforms and towels used by POSCO and its partner company employees.
The executives who visited the Pohang cleaning workshop personally organized laundry, towels, and work uniforms used by employees, and delivered encouragement gifts to POSCO Humans employees who were working hard to provide laundry services despite the hot weather.
Lee Baek-hee, head of Pohang Steelworks, said, "It was a meaningful time organizing laundry for the comfort of our employees," and added, "We will strive in various ways to ensure that employees can work in a more comfortable and happy environment."
