[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Lee Moon-soo, the newly appointed Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency, emphasized, "Let's create a peaceful Gyeonggi North where residents have no worries about safety."
On the 22nd, Lee Moon-soo, Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency, stated in his inaugural speech, "I will do my best to create a safe environment and establish law and order based on fairness and common sense, and I pledge to always be a diligent commissioner."
Regarding the direction the Gyeonggi Northern Police should take, he said, "Let's focus on police activities that meet the expectations of the residents in a country where the people are the owners," and urged, "Let's create a living environment where residents can feel comfortable and secure during difficult times."
In particular, he requested, "During economically difficult times, the safety of socially vulnerable groups such as children, women, the disabled, and the elderly can be more threatened, so please pay extra attention."
Commissioner Lee graduated from Konkuk University High School and the Korean National Police University (3rd class), and joined the police force in 1987.
After being promoted to Senior Superintendent in 2011, he served as Chief of Gwangju Police Station in Gyeonggi, Head of the Information Division 3 at the National Police Agency, Police Policy Officer at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Director of the Information Bureau at the National Police Agency, and Commissioner of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency.
